Off topic: how is your wife doing regarding the insulin pump info?

Errrr-After your emails with each other (thank you so much for doing that!) she didn't take it any further. She's stubborn. Sometimes I think it's 'change' that freaks her out or laziness for caring/learning it; but it really is just stubbornness on her part. I think she's not convinced in it yet. I've exhausted the topic but I do hope she will come around and at least take the time to research them again. The good is her numbers have been stable the last few months which is HUGE for her! Hope it keeps up.

Thanks for asking I appreciate it! Thanks again for taking the time to write to her she really enjoys talking to other diabetics since I have no clue what she goes through day-to-day.

.....chime in? Not sure if I'm following the right topic but, I just did MTB Oregon with a buddy who uses a pump and informed me while on a "pre-trip", getting back in shape ride. Freaked me out abit since we were grinding out a good climb at the time!!
He had/has no problems while riding, or anything else for that matter, as long as he monitors it like any other time. Whips it out every once and awhile, makes like he's text messaging someone, then away he goooooooes......

Might be another avenue for info??

Thanks JMac for the info. Any fire-power I can pass on to my wife in the hopes that she'll get on the pump or at least take a another look for them.

Diabetics amaze me, they are so much stronger than I am!

He's lean, about 135 like myself, never would have figured it. He actually had to tell a doc that was looking into his eyes during a check-up that he was diabetic (guess you should notice something typically??). Anyway, the physcian said he never would have known had he not mentioned it. Maybe I should get checked?? Said it's been an issue since he was 17 (now 40 something), but only recently got the pump within the last couple years.

Yeah well, we get lazy. Mostly use it as a repository for photos to link to MTBR. I copied the pics you took from the SMD ride with Son of D. I've got a page to put up at some point - maybe when it starts raining again, or when Maya grows up or when we get 26 hours in a day and 8 days a week but still only have to work 8x5...

    Ed needs a new mechanic!

It seems like every photo i see of Ed, he's either airborne or leaning over his bike mid trail tinkering with something.

    Nice photos Larry!

Hey, watch yourself, I was tinkering with the fork that you helped me change the oil in. Guess I should use a sober mechanic next time.
