Pretty cool. Curious what kind of program gets you in shape to do that ride in two months.....

...that doesn't involve PEDs. Seems like they'd have some kind of qualifying standard to keep out people that barely have a chance of finishing.

Very cool indeed. I'll bet this woman has a strong spirit and sense of adventure. Imagine the experience she will have and what she'll learn about herself. Doesn't matter if she finishes the race. But I bet she will.

I have heard of the Cape Epic, but until now I knew nothing of the details. 54'K of climbing over 8 days sounds brutal.

I love her saying, “Every average person needs a chance at an awesome story.”

That's crazy. That's doing 7k every day for 8 days. I am not even sure PEDs would get me there in two months (after watching the improvements the cyclist had in Icarus - I am thinking no, they wouldn't).

Mostly lots of long dirt road riding at a high tempo @ Cape Epic. Strong roadies do well. By no means as technically demanding as BC bike race.
