Good job! Bullards Bar Ride Thursday (4/27) Morning

A buddy and I are going to ride the Bullards Bar trail Thursday. We'll probably leave Sacramento around 7 am and hit the TH around 9 am.

Anyone interested in the 28 mile ride is welcome. Just give me a holla!

Also if anyone has any recent info on the trail, it would be much appreciated. I haven't ridden the trail in 5 or 6 years. (I read the Doc Willey's burnt down. Bummer.)

There are better destinations than Bullards right now. There are stil a lot of downed trees and a landslide or two. I suggest S. Yuba. Other ideas:

Thanks for the heads up, Memine. South Yuba looks good.

Do you know here i kind find a decent map of the South Yuba Trail?

Whats the best way to ride the South Yuba? I saw that other MTBR's just shuttled it. Is there a way to make a loop out of it?

    Thanx

OK I answered part of my own question by looking at Fish's web page (very nice).

But the questions remains: there are several options on how to ride the trail - any suggestions on routes would be helpful. Thanks!

    Suggestion

I would ride from near the BLM campground > No. Bloomfield > Rim Trail > Missouri Bar > S. Yuba.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't see the BLM campground on Fish's map. What is it near?

I'm guessing you mean to take N. Blumfield road to the rim trail?

Any idea what the mileage on that route is?

Thank you, you are tons of help!

    It's the South Yuba Campground

South Yuba Campground / South Yuba Trailhead (on Fish's Map) > N. Bloomfield Road > Rim Trail > Missouri Trail > South Yuba Trail > South Yuba Campground.

Total is appx 18 miles... The Fish has a pretty good description of this route. I believe this route was an IMBA Epic. All of it is singletrack, with the exception of the 3 mile climb up N. Bloomfield.

AWESOME! I'm stoked. It's supposed to be 77* and sunny on Thursday in Nevada City.

    Finally an epic ride!

Nobody else can weasel out of work, huh?
