    Bullards Bar Fire

    Just saw on the news there is a fairly big fire burning right near Bullards Bar Reservoir. That's a fav trail of mine...

    Just checked out the maps. Thus far, the fire burns below the dam and away from the trails. However, the fire is 0% contained at this time:

    Is this the same fire that was burning near Dobbins last weekend? We were on our way to Forest City and had to turn back and then go alll the way back around on 20 --> 49... sucked.

    Looks like the fire is burning toward the western side of the lake, away from the trails.

    Hey Buzzcut, when fires occur adjacent to reservoirs, are there any post-burn procedures like hydroseeding that are implemented to minimize post-burn erosion into the reservoir?

    they do mitigation, but what they do depends on the area so it really varies
