Anyone ride Stevens Creek Canyon (Saratoga Gap) recently...need river crossing report

Planning on riding there after work today. The ground stays pretty good like after a rain but I am thinking those river crossings might be treacherous. Anyone been there very recently? Do I need to bring a portable blow up raft?

    Thanks

I don't think any rivers cross the Saratoga Gap Trail. Do you mean toward the bottom of Stevens Canyon?

I don't know the relationship between the creek height in Mtn.View and the heights up in the canyon. For what it is worth, yesterday the creek flowing through Mtn.View is about 2-3' higher than normal.

I would guess the creek is pretty deep / fast right now. Is there a way around that creek from Steven's Canyon?

just carry speed through there and loft the front wheel!

I haven't been through there in months, but I'd plan on getting my feet wet if I were you. this could ****** your hubs and crank bearings as well.

report back after your ride please.

and above all else - have fun!

I was there a month back and the one unavoidable crossing (where fire road becomes single track) was not possible for a go for it/speed play. I was up to my knees slogging across. I am wondering if that knee level is now waist level. ugh. I'll report back for sure.

Did it yesterday at about 4:00. Higher than normal, but you can ride across. Your toes will be a little wet. The bigger problem is a major slide a short distance after you leave the paved road and gate. A little hike around gets it done. The trail itself is nice.

The river was high but not too bad.

So, the river crossing seemed pretty wicked on the way in so we got some help (photo below)...on the way back, I was able to ride across but should've just slogged it as my feet got just as wet and probably soaked by BB a bit. All in all, wonderful day on the hill...weather was amazing...clear view of the ocean, SF, and Oakland...saw about 100 deer, several wild turkeys, and a coyote.
