Anyone interested in a NorCal softball game?

The thinking on this is still in its infancy, but I just talked w/ Cruizy (Sacramento) and they have a softball diamond across the street from their house. I'm thinkin' some Sunday in the not-so-distant future, we could get together, and do something a little different, then hit the Peters' for after-game grubbage.

    Huh? Anyone interested out there?

    Obviously.

But it would be fun to see how unathletically coordinated MTBR people are.

    First pitch.

Cool- quite a few folks interested.

Cruizy has suggested August 29th as the date. How's this sound? It's fine by me. She's also investigated the use of the diamond, and we can't reserve it. I'm thinking if someone gets there early enough (8?), we could start around 9 & be done in time for lunch. She doesn't mind getting the food, but wants $$ up front so she can plan accordingly. Can't say I blame her. We're probably talking around $10-15, and if there's any $ left, we can apply it towards the keg I'm gonna get (Sac Brew? Any votes on which brewery/type of beer to get?). ...Or, maybe we could make it a pot luck? Any votes on that?

I guess I'll put info up on the SCAAB website (www.scaab.bikeaddict.com) sometime soon. Keep eyes peeled.

    Play ball!

We ran into capm and elsaltamontes at wilder a couple of weeks ago. What a strange community this is.

I'm walking accross the parking lot, and this old style mtbr jersey catches my eye. Before I even have a chance to think about I'm Like "hey, didn't you work for mtbr. I've seen your picture, blah blah downievile blah blah, beer!". and he's like "you've seen MY picture? How weird! Yup I had the beer. This is ray. Aren't you a designer? He's a designer too, blah blah".

It's like seeing a celebrity only mtbr people are usually much nicer that celebrities
