That turn off from Schultz to Ridge is totally overgrown and signs burned down. Looks like not many people are riding it.

The grass and weeds along Ridge are getting pretty high also. I guess it's better than Poison Oak though.

Oh the P.O. is still there. Once you get past the thistles on the turn off from Schultz you’ll see tons of it starting to come back in the usually spots along the trail.

I rode I again today and the thistles are now at perfect hand stabbing height. 🤣

    Thread Hijack Alert

I am visiting Santa Rosa from Virginia the week of Aug 6. I plan to ride the Trione -Annadel Loop on Aug 8. The SR Trek shop is having a demo day on Aug 8 at Spring Lake so all their rentals will be demos.....

I plan to head over and talk my way into a ride, hopefully for the day.

If anyone is free and would like to ride (I know, it is the middle of the week....) I would love the company.

I will buy tasty beverages after.....

    PM me.

Socobiker - The Demo starts at 10:00am. I am planning to be there then, but I am free all day.

I will need to confirm as I am a quest a relatives house. I will check back on Monday.

I am in Cali, on the bus to Santa Rosa. I still plan to ride tomorrow. Looks like the Trek demo ride is from 10 to tomorrow at Spring Lake in Annadel State Park. I was counting on renting one of their bikes. Not sure how that will work out or how late I can ride. Will update this evening.

If you lose out on the Trek demo, contact Trailhouse https://www.trailhousesantarosa.com/
and see what you can rent. It won't be free, but they have some nice full squish bikes to demo.

Also, Breakaway Bikes may have something to offer. They are in the strip mall across Montgomery Dr. from the Trail House a half a block down.

If I wasn't working tomorrow morning, I'd join ya and show you around.

Trail House demos Spec. and maybe Santa Cruz and Yeti (their affiliated store sells those brands, anyway). Breakaway sells Scott, Norco, Devinci, Transition and Moots plus some others.

Trail House has beer, Breakaway does not.

I was surprised to see trailhouse has a HTLT, a Ripmo and a Yeti 5.5 in their demo fleets.

Yeah, I was surprised at the variety of rentals as well. Trailhouse has moved to the head of the line for beer alone! 😎

I had to bail at the last minute. I am staying with my mother in law-she injured her knee the day I arrived and is in a wheel chair. Thought it best to stick around and help out.

I very much appreciate the response to my ride request. You all have a great riding community in the Santa Rosa area (all of California really). JMac47 showed up to ride. I was very sorry to have missed it. I will be back in the near future. I hope to ride then and pay back the good karma from everyone here.
