26" dirt jumper on a vintage Klein Attitude Comp?

I have that bike that's been laying around forever. I bought it new. Now it's old and tired and begging me to do something with it. I don't know much about dirt jumpers but I thought it would be cool to rebuild it as one with a fresh fork up front.

    Anyone done this?

Yeah, I'd think you want to start with a more solid foundation.
That frame wouldn't last very long DJing, unless you're REALLY smooth and very, very rarely mess up.

Put some road tires on it and cruise around town.

Key to dj bike is the ultra short chainstay. I tried before with regular 26 converting a Cannondale hardtail, it did ok, not the best. The short stay makes manual so easy, part of the fun messing around on a dj bike.
