That means I have to lose 3/4 pound per day to reach my goal Looks like I'm not going to meet my goal of dropping below 200 pounds before 24HOA.

We've got a team, registered in the 5-man Beer Drinkers category.

So can you get a discount on landscape supplies? How do I get that sponsor?

STMike hooked us up wtih Championchip Nutrition last year. That was pretty cool, although that protein shake stuff gave everybody some wicked gas. Good thing nobody was sharing tents! I ended up wtih like 6 water bottles.

I'm on team Rag Tag Racing captained by Zorg and includes me, Velocipus, and some others who are probably on mtbr.com. Mtnbecky has graciously offered to be our volunteer. It will be and experience.

I wonder what the course is like. I did the Sea Otter cross country and that was pretty tuff. I wonder if some of those spots will be fixed or not. I havent got to ride the first part yet. Has anybody rode the first part to hurl hill yet, just wondering what the condition will be like

We will be easy to find. Look for a guy in a bright fluo shirt (that'd be Plim). We're camping next to his team.

The 24hoa course is similar to the old Sea Otter course, but cut short to a 10 mile loop.

The course goes down Couch Canyon, up Hurl Hill (that is the tough part when you are fatigued) down Skyline (which was the climb out at SO this year). Then take the singletrack over to the foot of the 3 beetches (the same as the SO course this year, but you don't go up the three beeotches) and left turn down Ewok Trail. That dumps you out on the climb out back to the start/finish line.

Don't hold me to it, but that was the couse the last 2 years. My guess is that BLM may ask them to re-route it because of erosion issues. That track sees a lot of tires, and a lot of skid kiddies who don't know about the wonders of a front brake.

It's not too tough, techy-wise, but Ewok trail will rattle your bones (speed and braking bumps), and Hurl Hill will make you want to chuck your bike and go cry after the first 3 laps if you let it get to you. SO was a lot harder.
