XTR hubs/rotors with other disc calipers?

Has anyone tried using the new center lock XTR hubs/rotors with other company's calipers? I'm thinking about using the XTR hubs with the Hope Mini Mono or Avid Juicy specifically.

Just wondering about compatitbility issues. I'm guessing that rotor thickness and diameter are the most important, but there's also the frame/caliper spacing and hub/rotor spacing to think about.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has experience with this kinda swap.

The main issue to be concerned with is the narrower brake "track" of the XT and XTR rotors compared to rotors from other manufacturers. If you use a caliper/pad combo that requires a wider brake track but use the XTR rotors, the brake pad may hang over the outer edge of the rotor and also contact more of the "spokes" of the rotor, thus reducing the potential braking power. Some folks have done it however, I'd suggest doing some searches over on the oldf Brake Time forum to see if you can locate the posts. Good luck!

Some combos do work quite well........

I know it to be fact that the XTR rotors work with Hayes brakes on Fox Forx and Blur frames.
And, Crossmax SL Discs work with Hayes rotors and XTR calipers on Fox Forx and Blur frames.
