    xtr harmonics

has anyone ever heard of xtr disc brakes making noise/squealing because of harmonics created between the metals in the xtr rotor and the xtr brake? Not frictional rubbing but when they spin, it seems as though it is some sort of magnetic resonance that makes noise.

I don't have near the brain power to understand it fully, if it's true, but that is the diagnosis I received.

    X-files....? or real?

    I've heard of it...

I heard that xtr wheels and the calipers make a windy noise, but not the rotor and caliper, but maybe that's the issue if you are using the center lock rotors. To date, i dont think they've solved it, but its not hampering braking, or moving for that matter, is it??

IIRC they solved that problem by using XT centerlock rotors instead. Also the problem is only present on the XTR concept wheels, not with wheels built on XTR hubs alone.
