XTR 965 caliper with XT lever?

Saw some deals on Jenson on the above. Can you run 965 XTR with XT levers especially the banjo seems the problem.

iirc, they are interchangeable, i plan to go the other direction, xt calipers w/975 dual controls. i searched when i decided this and i recall finding out it was possible.

yeah..i is possible...you just need the right fittings...what XT levers are you looking at the 755 (90 deg banjo) or the 765 (0 deg connector)..

I run the 965 calipers with LX levers (same as 765 XTs)...

    Jenson link : http://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...Lever+Set.aspx

These are the levers I hope to combine with the XTR 965 caliper without spending $50 in fittings.
    Any idea it will fit?

those should work perfectly...the 965 calipers need a 90 deg banjo..so you're good to go...

(anyhow the fittings would have been only a couple of bucks)

I would suggest getting the XTR shifters and XT levers. According to Shimano, and from personal experience, you will get much better power and modulation with the XT levers than you will with the XTR levers. The XTR levers are basically designed just to be lighter for racing and dont have the same kind of power and modulation so its kind of a waste of money to go that route.
