    Will this work?

OK, I just purchase a used set of older Hayes hydraulics for my Mantra. I needed those specifically because they have the 22mm direct mount rear. Anyway, obviously now I also need rotors and wheels. Here's what I'm considering:

I'm an All mountain and hard XC rider with gentle XC thrown in, but that's mostly for the hardtail. I'm going with either an XT hub and Mavic XM321 or XT hub and Sun Singletrack setup. I'm picking these up tonight because i need all of the stuff before next weekend. Anyway I'm trying to decide if I should go with 6 bolt or centerlock hubs. Centerlock seems really nice in every way, but I'm not sure if shimano CL 160 rotors will work with my hayes brakes.

Any suggestions and insight is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -Andy

You should'nt have any problem fitting your Shimano rotors with Hayes calipers.

The Shimano rotors tend to have a narrower braking path (blade) than Hayes rotors. Later on down the road, this will lead to uneven pad wear and howling/stuttering issues.
