    Swapping wheels

I am thinking about upgrading my hardtail to BB7's and getting a a sturdt set of disc wheels for it. i have another bike that has Crossmax's and I figure i would use the sturdy wheels for most riding, swapping wheels between bikes as needed and save the Crossmaxes for races. Will I need to swapp rotors as well? The other bike has Hayes HFX9's w 160 rotors. I'm just wondering if the pads will wear to the one set of rotors and won't work as well on the less-used set of wheels. Does anyone else do this?

Yes the pad breaks into a rotor but the differance of noticable brake effect or lack of from swapping wheels you wont need to worry. You may have to recenter the calipers from wheel to wheel at the most.

dogonfr pretty much covered it all. Recentering the caliper is your main issue since the hubs are manufactured to different ends of the tolerance.

Just get a Prophet and you won't have to worry about it

    ......sorry. Bad, unrelated post joke

I have never had a problem switching between my Enduro wheels and my other wheels but thats probably just dumb luck on my part.
