    Squeaky XT discs... EBC's?

My XT discs have a major squeak problem. I have cleaned the pads and rotors numerous times, and have replaced the back pads (with Shimano XT's) and have had no luck... Today just the back was squeaking, so I figured I would give the front and back a thorough cleaning. I used rubbing alcohol on the front and rear pads and rotors without touching any critical parts with my skin. Now they are both squeaking INCREDIBLY loud... I felt bad for the neighbors when I went outside tto test it out. It was that bad. Is this just a problem with Shimano's pad material? Have any of you had the same experience and found some kind of fix for it ? (EBC's perhaps?) Thanks for any help... This is really starting to piss me off.

EBC green pads have been quiet for me, gold not bad. Try roughing up the surface of your shimano brake pads with some 100grit sandpaper. There may be a contaminent that is causing the squeel. Also check the calipers are mounted squarely, you may have uneven IS mounts on your frame or fork.
