    SLX, a good upgrade?

I've seen some Shimano SLX brake sets at a good price and was wondering if they would be a worthwhile upgrade to replace my Tektro Auriga subs on my 2010 Cannondale Bad Boy.
    What do you guys think?

Upgrading just for the sake of upgrading isn't worthwhile in my opinion . . . now if you have problems with the Tektro's then that is a different story. In that case, it might be a good upgrade, but it depends on the price and what else you could do/get for the same money.

I don't know anything about the Tektro brakes, but I have the SLX's (upgraded from M415 mechanical) and think they're fantastic. I upgraded because I needed better braking power..

I got the SLX M665's - upgraded from V-brakes. Learned how to install them myself. I need to trim the rear hose and rebleed them, so more learning to come! I have a 180mm disc up front and the stopping power is HUGE.
