    Single Digit 3 replacement pads?

Wondering what pads you guys would consider when replacing the stock units in the Single Digit 3 brakes? The stock units are pretty good; low noise, good modulation and low rim wear... But not exceedingly strong stopping power. I can get some older XTR pads for a very good price, but I've heard they are rim eaters. I've found cool stop pads tend to be noisey when the tempurature drops, and I ride year-round. Thanks!

I have Kool Stop pads and have been very impressed with them. However, I live in northern California, so I have no experience with them below 40deg

I have heard the same as you about the Shimano pads.

Yeah. I've run the koolstop canti pads before and while they worked great in warm weather, when it got wet out they lost a lot (it was the single compound pad, though) and they just squealed all day long during the winter (I commute 90% of the time, year-round, in michigan).
