    Shimano XT V-brake Issue

Hi there, I'm refurbishing my old MTB. While fixing up the V-brakes I found one of the rear stopper pins to be broken.

As it isn't a spare part in the Shimano tech doc it looks like I can trash the brake...

For now I just mounted the brake without the stopper pin in the frame hole. Cannot test if this works yet as the drivetrain still needs to be installed.

Hope someone has advice wether or not I could improvise a fix or if I can do without it (guess not though...)

    Thanks!

do you know a machinist? they'd have to set it up on a mill, make a hole and press a new pin in it.

Thanks. I'll be able to ask tomorrow. Curious if it's an easy (read cheap fix for them.
