Shimano hydro install - I gotta be doing something wrong......

Installing my 1st set of hydro brakes, LX M585 calipers into LX M585 dual-control shift/brake levers. I'm following the instructions of putting on the nut/screw with threads, then the brass olive, hammered the "pin" thing into the housing and inserted it into the shift/brake levers.

Here's my problem, its sooooo loose. Even with the nut/screw fully tightened, I can just pull the housing out of the shift/brake lever. Is it suppose to be like this? What am I doing wrong?

Slide the compression nut onto the hose. Slide the olive on. Push the barb (pin) in. Push the hose into the lever, thread the compression nut in. Torque it to spec.

I think you're doing things in the wrong order.

Figured it out.............I didn't tighten the connecting bolt tight enough.
