    Post to IS adapter 160mm rear....does it exist?

    New bike has160mm rotor and 74mm post mounts. I have a set og xtr 975 IS mount brakes that I'd like to move to the new bike. I have the correct front adapter but can't find a specific mount for the rear. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    I did it once on IS marta sl. I don't know which adapter I used, I just pick it from my assorted adapters. In general you just need to up a rotor size.

    You need to go either shimano 170mm(shimano only adapter) or any other 180mm rotor.
    The world needs a huge socio-economic change...be it. We all need to ride more....

    So are saying use a fr ont 160mm post to is adaptor with a180mm rotor? I'm not seeing anything in regards to a 170mm. Any chance you can give me a link to what youare referring to or a product number?

    Thanks!

    IS brake to PM fork adapters.

    160mm: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KCNC-Disc-Brake-Adapter-POST-Anodised-RED-160mm-/280671676319
    * This adapter doesn't work with all IS brakes but I've read that people have used it with XTR models on forks.

    170mm: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=13744
    *170mm rotors are harder to find then the standard sized rotors.

    180mm: http://www.actionsports.de/gb/Components/Brakes/Disc-Brake-Accessoires/Shimano-Mountadapter-SM-MA-F180S-P-PM-to-IS-180-Front::26473.html

    I don't know if these adapters would work on the rear.
    As far as I know there is no rear specific version for this type of adapter.
