    Plastic Wedge

hey guys, what is that plastic wedge thing called that keeps the pads from closing when you have the wheels off and somebody squeezes the brake lever? and is that thing sold anywhere? would like to have one around when i'm on the trail just incase so i don't have to pry the pads if i accidentally grab the brakes when the wheel is off

I call it "that plastic wedge thing" and +1 on getting it from your LBS. Mine came from the good ol' junk bucket there.

One thing to realize is that you'll likely have to pry the pads apart to get the bleed block in. The bleed block is designed to push the pistons all the way in so that you don't put too much fluid in the system while bleeding.
