    Smile New alligator rotor?

Anyone of you seen/used this before? Seems new. Can't find it on the manufacturer's website even.

84grams @ 160mm (conflicting weights on online sites and ebay)
    Alligator Crown:

Wonder if it's better than Aries. Pattern looks like it would cause uneven braking..

I don't know what to say... to me it looks more of a fancy rotor with possibly shitty performance, but they can also be very good and still even more awesome then they look...

But uneven braking could be an issue... be sure to check your pads coverage area before buying them.

But I think the look worth the try... maybe to put them on a low speed urban bike or SS for look only (I don't know the price though).

I found out that a local distributor is bringing them in. I just bought these in black (I wanted uncolored, but they only had colored versions).

Bought a pair of them. Cost me 58sgd, which is around 48USD.

Rode around the neighborhood, up and down a slope to test the brakes. Feels a little weaker than my old deore rotors, maybe because they are new? Decent amount of stopping power with my old sintered pads. I'm 115lbs, to put things in perspective.

160mm front and rear, here's a picture of the wear areas.

Hmm I have no idea. Ebay only has a few listings of these, in 160mm and 203mm. The guy that I bought from told me that this was a new model. How new I do not know though.

Nope, they are steel. They are not the ones that came with the rotor. Got 12 of them from an lbs for a few bucks.
