need to shorten my hydro lines, best cut?

so, need to shorten a hydro line for the first time. searched on this but didn't come up with much.
I've never cut them before. not having the $xxx hydro line cutter, what is my next best option? Dremel? Razor blade?

    Thanks

Jagwire space age tool. It's not very expensive.

Otherwise I would recommend some sort of saw, perhaps some electrical tape around it. You'll still get some frayed edges that you'll have to hit with a lighter. The Jagwire tool is fast and clean.

I always use a razor blade.

Just make sure to use a brand new one....it gives a nice clean cut.

And make sure you cut it square.

I use a fresh razor blade as well. It works just fine.

Saw won't work very well unless it has very fine teeth.

    Brand spankin' new razor

The thicker, made in U.S.A., heavy duty guage steel. Not cheapo. Glasses and Gloves ( seems overkill but I am a tradesman that knows many mangled guys )

    Something like this

    here

I don't like just using blades to cut. I only have 8 fingers and two thumbs.
Duct tape iz like teh Force. It has a Lite side and a Dark side and it holdz the Universe together.
