    Magura brake line

I am changing frames and it is likely I will need a longer hydraulic brake line for my rear brake. I have 2005 Magura Marta brakes. Will any bicycle hydraulic brake line work or will I need Magura line? I am having a little trouble finding Magura brake line.

Magura uses a specific, crimped, fitting on the caliper end (either straight or 90 degree "banjo"). It comes pre-fitted on one end of the brake line, and you cannot add this piece to a Magura line like you can the compression olive at the lever end. So basically, generic bake lines won't work. However, there are other system lines out there that would work like Goodridge. These tend to be thicker, stiffer, and heavier. I would look for Magura lines. Call Magura USA and ask them for some. And for god's sake, don't get the Hope stainless lines.

Any line works, but you need the Magura proprietary hose "olive" or special banjo fitting.

Goodridge UK makes excellent replacement hoses for Magura Marta too.

Ya, I called them and they were really helpful. They said I could get any part directly through them with the only downside being that it would be MSRP.

Speedgoat sells all the Magura stuff. Prices seemed resonable
