Looking for Hayes Mag or HFX-9 brake levers

    Hi,

I'm rnew to the forum, but I have a question I was hoping to get answered. I've got a set of mag calipers and 9 calipers and no brake levers. Is there a good place to pick up a set of levers or are there compatible off-brands that would work well with either set of these calipers? Thanks in advance.

Any lbs can order them for you. If you don't have access to a lbs you can get them online from places like AE BIKE.

I once had Dangerboy levers for my Mags. They were kick ass levers (and 3x as much money), way better than the stock ones but I think DB is now defunct.

For the price of levers from an LBS or online retailer you could buy a new full set from ebay for $100 or less.

You're parts, unfortunately are worthless. At least as you are proposing to use them.

    Want proof?

Universal Cycles wants $81 per lever (master cylinder)

    Jenson, $80.60:

Meanwile, Cambria is closing out the lever + caliper + rotor combination of the HFX-9 for $49.95.

My $0.02 is just buy some new Hayes Strokers for $70 per wheel

    and be done with it.

    Good job!

That sounds like a plan. I found a local buyer for the calipers so that will go toward my new brakes fund. Thank you everyone for your help.
