    Hydro brakes overheating?

Just replaced my Avids with Formula RXs about two months ago. Had a hell of a time trying to get the pads centered since this is no pad adjustment. As far as I can tell, visually the rotor appears centered. However, without fail, about 30 or so mins into the ride, I get the turkey gobble and some noticable frame vibration.

The first 30 mins of the ride, the brakes are fine: no squeal no gobble. Part of me is assuming it's caused from overheating. Any ideas?

Check to see if you have play in the hub.

Rotors get tweaked too if you brake hard through a turn and there is play in the hub. So you might have to true your rotor.

But I think you are right about not having the rotor centered in the caliper. A little offset would cause the squealing and gobbling too. Hard to keep the rotor centered if there is play in the hub.
