how can i tell if xt brakes are 2 or 4 piston

picking up some shimano xt hydrolic brakes and i do not know how to tell if they are 2 or 4 piston. i know that they do not make the 4 piston brakes any longer. anyone know what the difference is?

The four-pot caliper looks as though it contains four pistons - two per side; the two-pot looks liek it holds two - one per side. Take a look at the new Saint (M810) brake calipers, which contain four pistons.

That's a good price for 4-pot XT calipers, it was so good I got a pair to replaces my XTR's calipers. In my opinion, Shimano's best brake caliper. Good to see they brough it back with the new Saint.
