Help with avid elixir 5 caliper

The kid was playing around the bike while I was trying to change the brake pads. He pressed the lever many times and the pistons WITHOUT the pads sticked together.I heard a popping sound(air in the system??something broke??) and the brake is completely not working. I ve managed to put the pistons back in their original position but when you press the spongy lever none of them moves. No fluid leakage or something

    Any help appreciated

Time to bleed the brakes. Unless something is broken inside the caliper, maybe one of the pistons.

Only way to see is to try and bleed the brakes.

Bled them and everything is back to normal again...

By the way the universal bleed kit from Aligator is terrible. The syringes are cheapish. The air passes through their seals even with small pressure. No stop clamp thingy for the hoses
