New question here. Hayes malfunction, bleed does not fix

I have 03 Hayes HFX Mag brakes. After a crash the front line was damaged so I took it in to the shop to have the cable replaced. After 5 bleeds and every trick the mechanic knew, the brakes barely work. With the lever depressed all the way, they will engage but not to any acceptable amount. We also slipped in new pads just in case and no improvement was seen. Any suggestions??

The Master Cylinder could be damaged

If the front line was damaged where it connects to the brake lever assembly you could have a damaged master cylinder or the master cylinder reservoir bladder could be dislodged or torn and allowing air in.
