Goodridge hose upgrade for Hope Race X2

I want to upgrade my Race X2 brakes with some Goodridge hoses. Has anyone done this to their Race X2 brakes? Which kit do I need for these brakes? As I understand it, the Tech X2 brake has a different lever to the Race X2 and therefore uses different connectors, is that correct?

    Any help is much appreciated!

i've upgraded all my brakes with Goodridge hoses (except Formula R1 which didn't need it), occasionally i've had to mix & match connector kits to suit the hose angle for calipers or levers

mostly i've purcased from Chain Reaction Cycles

    here's a connector kit for Hope Race : http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=20422
    here's hose: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...x?ModelID=2938

why not ask CRC if Race & Race X2 use the same connectors? : http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/I...ationLargeID=2

Thanks for the answer, I have sent Goodridge an e-mail. I too wonder if the Hope Race refers to the Race X2 on CRC's website.

    no probs

if your a weight weenie the alloy connectors are much lighter than the stainless steel version that come in hose kits

CRC might be helpful also, but can be a tad slow to respond to emails - telephone is best

Yeah, I was thinking of going with the alloy connectors. Is there any downside using them compared to the stainless steel ones? Also, I'm having trouble deciding whether to go for the black hose or the carbon version.

not unless you ride your bike on the beach! have both kinds & had no problems with alloy connectors

i prefer the carbon look hose - looks different to regular issue black brake line

    162cm Goodridge carbon look hose
150cm of white Goodridge hose + alloy connectors

Hey Crosmaxx, did you ever find out? I ordered hose hoping to re-use the existing hope connectors but the hose is way too thick.
