    Going to Bigger Rotor

    Hey everyone. Happy Friday!!

I'm looking to go to a 180mm or 185mm rotor from a 160mm on my Avid BB7s. Is it just me, or is it actually cheaper to buy a complete caliper and rotor set than to piece together the rotors, adapter and hardware? A new 180mm G2 Clean Sweep rotor alone is about $45. A new BB7 caliper with 180mm rotor and hardware (2011 model year) is about $54.

I was considering a 185mm rotor, but it looks like Avid discontinued that size for 2013.

Those of you with a 180 or 185mm front rotor on BB7s, how have you gone about doing this?

Don't overlook Amazon for buying bits like the adaptors. In fact, I picked up my last set of rotors there too.
