    Do I have to get Avid Rotors????

    I need help with brakes, I have a DB 2009 Recoil, the bike comeís with Promax 320 Disc, (with Promax rotors) Iím looking to get Avid Juicy 3 from ebay, so do I need to get new Avid rotors as well or I can use the rotors that came with my bike.

    The key to this whole ordeal is making sure the caliper bracket is matched up with the correct rotor size.

    I personally use Hayes Stroker Trails with Avid 185mm G3CS Rotors, utilizing Avid 185mm mounting brackets and they work beautifully.

    Just make sure the pad is contacting the rotor evenly and is centered on the braking surface to ensure proper pad wear and optimal performance.

    You don't need to get Avid rotors...but the Avids do work best on their brakes - except the craptastic Roundagon and Polygon rotors. The Avid G2 and G3 are among the BEST ever made though...
