    Disc Tab facing, cutting fluid??

    Hi

I just got a Part DT-1 disc tab facing tool. I was wondering if anyone knows of a safe substitute for the park cutting fluid CF-2. I didn't know to order that when I got the tool, and was hoping to face some brake tabs before the ride this weekend.

Is it ok to use something like WD-40, tri-lube, pro-link etc?

    Thanks, Derek

you can use Auto Trans Fluid, it's cheap and works well as a cutting fluid. FWIW, we run it in a $300,000 CNC machine.

since it is being done by hand and not machine, almost any oil will be fine. you can find cutting fluid at machine shops if you really want some
