Difference In Shimano Pads?
Can someone explain the difference between Shimano M07 Resin and M07S Resin pads? Aluminum backplate on M07 vs. steel on the M07S - just lighter? And what about the A01S pads?

i'm guessing here, since i'm new to disc brakes, but i think the steel backing is for disc brakes with magnetic returns........aluminum will not work since its not attracted by a magnet.

I know that Shimano offers a Ti backed version of their pads. So I'm guessing that it goes Ti, Aluminum, and then Steel in terms of lightest to heaviest pads. Correct? Anyone know the weight differences? Can't be too much.

Alloy backed is going to be lighter than Ti typically, unless the Ti backing is a lot thinner.

Al vs. steel is the only diff. Tossed them on my scale for laughs, I think the Al were like 5 grams to the Steel's 10gr.
Take a crap before the ride and pass on Shimano's silly $45 Titanium pads!

just did a quick search on the internet and appear that M07S is a new resin to used with 203mm rotors,
Does that mean that they last a bit longuer on 180mm or 160mm compare to the M07 compound?
I'm not so sure about the back plate ben steel vs Alu like stated above...
