    caliper question

are there any differences between front and rear avid (elixir) calipers, or is it just the mounting brackets that differ? Can i take a caliper that was on the front, remove it from the hose, and attach it to the rear hose and use a rear mounting bracket; and it will still line up with the back rotor? They look the same, just wanted to make sure...

    No differences.

Yup. The only difference between a front and rear disc brake is the brake line length that they come with. Obviously a brake set up for the rear needs a longer brake line. Swapping the caliper should be no problem.
