Brakes for DH bike: K24 and M6/M4 comparison

I am replacing a pair of Hayes Mag HD on my DH bike and I am looking to buy either the hope M6/M4 combo with 200mm rotors or the Formula K24 with 200mm rotors.

Does anyone have experience with the stopping power of Formula K24 relative to M6/M4? How about fading? Maintenance? Is the K24 adequate for DH use?

As a term of comparison, I have used Magura Louise on my Turner RFX for a year now and with 210mm rotor up front and 180mm in the rear, brake performance is very good and definitely enough for my purposes. This includes riding the bike at resorts.

    Thanks!

True, but right now the K24 can be found for pretty cheap and I am sure I don't need as much stopping power as Cedric Gracia ... then again maybe I need more than him, 'cause he can ride

I called Formula and spoke with Chris. He said that the Oro were designed with DH racing in mind.

    I've had the Hope

M4's, good brake, but the Magura Gustav is hands down better in my experience at Whistler BP, and the 'shore. I've not tired Formula nor the M6.
