    Brake Pad Help

I recently purchased a older like 1990 Nishiki Optima XRS. Its a cool bike, but the pads are 20 years old and hard as a rock. I have been looking for replacements online but cant seem to find the style that they are. they are cantilever brakes, but the pad has a inch or so stem on the back that slides into a little hole and clamps in with a nut. Is anyone familiar with what im talking about? can someone point me in the right direction for pads. I called a LBS and they told me 30-40 bucks a set. Thats half of what i paid for the bike. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

heres a pic i took just to help

Just try cantilever pads (like this). I believe they may also be referred to as post-type cantilever pads.
