New question here. Better pads for my RX

My stock pads are worn down and they tend to overheat easily... any suggestions for replacement pads? I've heard of organic... Please advice, thanks!

I have the formula rx with alligator serration rotors 160mm. The pads are stock. Idk what brand is available in the market. Just seeking for a longer lasting, less chance of fading pads. Thx

I got these in "burly" to replace my stock RX pads:

So far so good, and they're less noisy than the stock pads. Can't comment too much on longevity as have only had them in a couple of months but they're the longer lasting versions from Brake-Authority.

Longer lasting is a Sintered pad, less fade Semi Matallic; If your hittin steep DH trails work on pulsing the brakes off N on. Check caliper alignment and pad contact using feeler gauges to adjust the pad travel

Does the RX use the same pads at the One/Mega/R1? If so, then check out the comments on this thread: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?p=8300975

Sintered pads have a bronze colored backing plate. Organic pads have a black colored backing plate.

"Organic compound offers better initial bite than sintered metallic and is found stock on R1 and RX model"

"Sintered metallic pad compound resist heat better than organic and offer better modulation."
