    BB7s on a downhill bike?

I wanted some opinions on running avid bb7s on my big hit. I am pretty darn sick of the hayes soles, and really don't have the fundage for some high end hydraulics. I am plenty happy with the mechanical brakes on my hardtail, no "modulation" issues. How do you think BB7's would work for some light freeride and downhill use?

BB7s with big rotors should do fine IMO

I agree. As long as you DON'T use the roundagon rotors (very easy to overheat, even in large sizes), you should be fine.

    Yeah, agreed, no prob.

They do great on out tandem, and that heavy beast eats brakes.
