    BB7 Rotor Rub

I've got a set of BB7s that I would be very happy with, if I could only get rid of the rotor rub. It's not a constant rub and if I watch the rotor as I spin the wheel the rotor has a slight deflection to it. Both front and back wheels. I can open up the brake but then I have to pull too much cable to my liking.

Since I have centerlock hubs with a DT adapter, I tried to figure out if it was the mount/adapter or the rotor itself. I marked the tire where the deflection/rub was happening. Then I took off the rotor and rotated it. The deflection/rub moved with the rotor so this tells me it is the rotor itself.

I got a new set of rotors and the same thing happens.
Is this normal? Should I expect Avid rotors to be perfectly straight?

Rotor itself, even brand new rotors are a little bit tweaked out of the box/bag. If you can isolate where it's touching, you can straighten out the rotor with a couple of adjustable wrenches and just make tiny bends a little at a time.

I'm guessing it is easier to screw them up for good than it is to fix them.

Thx for the reply. I was wondering if I was just having bad luck with the rotors I got.
