    New question here. Avid-Hope setup

I have an older front Hope hub laced to a Mavic 317 disc rim. it has a 185mm 5 bolt rotor attached to it. Currently has a Hope C2 caliber attached. I am considering installing an Avid mechanical brake that a friend gave me so that I can have matching Shimano xt levers which I really like. The rear brake is a V brake. This would be installed onto a Marz fork. I hate to lose the Hope hub wheel as it is quite light. Any one see any problems with this set up before i order an Avid adapter? Thanks, FSR

As long as the rotor diameter is the same you should be fine. XSL_WiLL would you like to add to this

It's cool. Those older Hope rotors have a real wide blade on the rotor. I forsee no problems. Just be sure to remove any old pad residue left on them with 800 grit sandpaper and lots of water.

Hope is making costom disks with different bolt pattern. I ordered a 4 bolts (Coda) disk for my mono mini to keep my DT/Hügi hub.
