Anyone run metallic front/resin rear (pads)?

I just went out on my first ride with my new bike and the new setup is easier than I'd like to lock up the rear tire.

Old setup: Trek Superfly 100, 180mm front, 160mm rear, resin pads
New setup: Stumpjumper Evo, 203mm front, 180mm rear, metallic pads

Both bikes had a Purgatory front tire/Ground Control rear tire (the same exact tires moved from one bike to the next).

Is anyone else using resin pads in the rear? I have a spare set, was thinking of using them on the rear and using take-offs as spares for the front. Any thoughts?

I do this, makes for better feel at the limit. Use the metallics for longevity and more power, I'm 225#...

I am. I'm too cheap to buy F03C metallic pads for my XTs so I just got the B01S resin pads and installed a washer under my callipers to get the pads at the right position.

That, and Shimano Aus is sold out of the F03C pads for ages now.

Its nice, give it a go. Not grabby at all. Pads themselves wear faster, but less wear on your rotors.

If you ride in the wet a lot, I might reconsider though. Resin sucks in the wet.
