    Anyone ever use this disc brake adapter/post mount in one?

    Like the title says, here is the link:

    That adapter is just for the specific frames Trek/Gary Fisher/Klein made with those particular rear brake mount holes (22mm apart I believe) several years ago...is your Tassajara one of those frames?

    Yes it is, its a '03 frame and has the spacing you mentioned. What I was trying to ask was if that disc adapter with the built in post mount in one piece is better than say the one linked below which is just the adapter and you still attach the post mount to it and then the caliper.

    Well if you only ever intend on running post mount calipers, I suppose that adapter would be fine.

    With the other adapter, there are no threads in the adapter to strip. And it might be easier/cheaper to change rotor sizes or calipers in the future.
