Anybody make cheap adapters for 8in rotors?

I have Shimano XT brakes. I want to go to a bigger rotor in the front (what is that, 8 inches or 185mm or something). I saw that shimano sells the adapter for about $40. Does anybody make a cheaper version of this? I mean, its just a hunk of metal with 4 holes in it, right?

unfortunately you'll have to spend 40$. There's no way around it. Piece of aluminium with two holes! And it's 203mm.

Grimeca and GRC also make adapters, although the Grimecas come in both 200mm and 203mm size, so match it to your discs. They are sometimes cheaper than the Shimano. Try bikeman and go-ride.
