    Another question about adapters?

Can i use a avid adapter with my hayes brakes? the avid is a 185mm adapter, but my rotors will be 180mm...is this a problem, the avid hardware is way cheaper, so id like to use it..

    Thanks again.

Yes, a 185 bracket with a 180 rotor is a problem. The pads will hang off the outside of the rotor causing issues.

You could just use a 185 rotor and bracket.

    And to compound the problem....

if you are using a hayes rotor it is an actual 7" rotor, 177.8mm. So either use the Hayes rotor and Hayes adaters, or use the Avid adapter and rotor. This is one case where mixing and matching is not a good idea.
