    8" rotor adaptor question?

I just purchased a post to post 8" rotor adaptor for my Hayes Sole brakes. The caliper is just touching the adaptor causing the caliper to not sit flush. Its just about the with of credit card. Is it ok if I grind the adapter a little to make it fit. Have any of you had to do this?

    thanks

you might need to face the mounts ... just sand/grind some til it fits

I used to ride to Win ... Now I ride to Grin

While my guitar gently weeps, my bike sits there mocking me

This is not what facing is. And I hope that you have not faced any IS disc tabs by sanding/grinding.

Go ahead and remove some material from the adapter.
