$250-$350.00 to spend, what should I get???

OK, I am going to be purchasing a nice new set of disk brakes, and have between $250.00 - $350.00 to spend.
I am primarily a XC rider but also hit many downhills.
I ride a C-Dale RZ120. I absolutely hated the Hayes Stroker Rydes that came with it, so I swapped out with "older" Juicy Sevens. The Sevens are now getting a bit worn, and old.
What do you think I should get?
I am seriously looking at Elixer R's, but would love some other suggestions.
    Thanks!

I went with Elixir R's. They were new take-offs from ebay, they were $70 each and I used my old rotors. They were bled fine and I've been riding them for aobut a year with zero maintenance.

$150 will buy you a set of BB7s, complete with cables, housing, and levers. Send the other $200 to me as a consulting fee for having saved you from wasting a bunch of money.
Grit, spit, and a whole lot of duct tape!

Magura seem to be some of the best brakes offered that dip into that pricepoint.

Liking the Elixer Idea more and more, I did consider that BB7 option though and also had them on my Trek. They are nice brakes...
My son has the Elixer R's on his bike as well and loves em.

I have xt's and rx's and they are both great but I do prefer the rx's.

I've been using a set of 203/185 Elixir Rs for about a year now. I have had no issues with them. And despite what you'll read they are a pretty quite brake. The only time I get noise issues is when the rotors get dirty or they aren't properly aligned. I cleaned and aligned the brakes back in April and haven't had to fiddle with them since. They have been bled once when the hoses were shortened, that's all.
