Would a stumpjumper FSR medium fit me?

I have come upon a good deal on a used 2006 stumpjumper FSR, size medium. Problem is, I'm a bit concerned it'll be too big for me. I'm 5'8", 160 pounds, 30" inseam.

The stumpjumper is a 17.5" frame - more detailed specs are off the 'geometry' link of this page:

Although it might be a good deal, I don't want to buy it if I really should be riding a 17" size small... my old bike is a 17" frame.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I'm just under 5' 11", 32" inseam and ride a large FSR. I suspect the medium would fit you.

On a small, you'd likely have a ton of seat tube sticking out.

You can adjust the fit some with a different stem length if it feels stretched.

5'10", 33" inseam and medium Specialized bikes are the best fit for me, although large is doable. I think a medium is probably exactly right for you.

I picked her up tonight! She's a beauty, and a perfect fit - definitely not too big

Thanks! I'm really happy... when I first saw it, my jaw dropped at how practically brand new it is. I bought it from a girl who, for some reason, was 'sized' for a medium men's bike, rode it a few times and decided it didn't fit. I paid $1500 canadian, or about $1250 US.
