    Prophet or Top Fuel 90?

2005 Prophet 1000 or a (new) 2003 Trek Top Fuel 90 (full carbon)?
This will be my first FS.

Riding mostly XC with lots of rocks and uphills (typical Northeast type of stuff).
    Riding level is Intermediate plus. I'm 6'2, 195, with a 34" Inseam.
Prophet would probably be an L, the Top Fuel is a 19.5.

Just fyi, I'm leaning towards the Fuel...
The fact that the Fuel is about 6 bills less that the Prophet doesn't hurt.

Guess I'll have to change my avatar to Hardtail-No-More...

    Thanks for your candid thoughts!

The Prophet will be much better on the downhills and over the rough stuff. The Fuel is more of an XC racer. Quick but limited travel for general trailriding. Quite different bikes really.

and I'd stay well away from carbon framed mtbs too. Carbon and rocks don't mix very well - be warned
