    Play in suspension pivot

My Camber has developed play in the lower pivot on the seat tube. I estimate about 3-4 mm of movement at the rear dropout. Do I risk causing serious (warranty-voiding) damage to the frame by riding it until I can change the bearings, which I plan to do within a couple weeks.

(Should I post this in the Specialized forum?)

How old is it? Doesn't Speshy offer a 1 or 2 year warranty of those parts. I know they don't offer lifetime warranty of the rear triangle or any part of it, including bearings but they should have a limited time warranty.

Yes, it looks it might be covered by warranty. I copied the below from their site

On full-suspension (FSR) frames, the main triangle carries a lifetime warranty & the "moving parts" (chain-stay, seat-stay, shock-link, bearing, bolts) have a one year warranty on workmanship & materials on all bikes produced before 2010, FSR bikes produced in 2010 going forward will carry a 5 year warranty on the "moving parts".

It is only ~8 months old.

You shouldn't have too much potential for damage, it would likely just beat up the bearing and possibly the pivot axle.
Don't you hate it when a sentence doesn't end the way you think it octopus?

Then I'd contact Speshy asap. They'll take care of you.

I took it to my LBS, and they will look it over monday. Their mechanic thought it was a little soon as well to have that kind of wiggle in the frame. Just hope too have it fixed by next weekend as I have a race sunday.

So, the LBS changed the bearings as well as some teflon coating thingy in the rearward shock bushing. I wasn't charged for the bearings (total ~40 $). I guess thats ok since the hourly rate for mechanics here is probably about 85 $.
